Bowling Night – 10th April 2010 A Bowling Night was held on Saturday 10th April to celebrate, a little early, the Birthday’s of Malcolm (60) and Stella (??). 12 of us assembled at The Dunes in South Shields between 6 and 6.30pm ; Malcolm & Denise, Tony & Stella, Bob & Fiona, Keith & Margaret, Barrie, Simon and Fred & Linda.
	It was the first time we had met Linda (Fred had attended the AGM) and we hope she comes to more of our functions. The Evening commenced with the 2 games of Tenpin Bowling (only 10 were Bowling as Malcolm & I were injured as usual) and many cheers greeted both Strikes and misses but a good time was had by all. (Guess what Barrie had done) .
Ray & Manuela arrived half-way through the Bowling as Ray had been working late and after the 2 games we moved into The Brig for our meal and a few drinks.
The winners of the Bowling were then announced – Bob Aaron won the Gent’s Competition with a combined score of 207, narrowly beating Keith on 206. (Keith blamed his fingernail for the loss), and we had a tie for the Ladies Competition – both Fiona and Denise scored 166. (Bob & Fiona – had you been practicing??)
	Simon nearly revealed more than he had intended as a bit of overenthusiastic bowling ripped his jeans. I would like to thanks everyone who managed to come for making it a good evening out and hope that those of you who were unable to attend for various reasons will be able to attend the next one , scheduled for July or after the Rally – timetable permitting.
