Well for a change the weather was quite nice for the time of year, bright but still feeling cold first thing in the morning.

Keith did a sterling job getting us all registered and even working out the first clue !
So we set off on the first leg looking for Bradleys café in Wolsingham, only to find the café was almost a mile outside the village.

We have a plan says Keith, you go that way and we will go the other way, soon enough we discover were in the wrong place !

At one point I decided to get ahead of the bikes and take some posing photos of the lads

This was on the way to Tow Law

Our next stop took us to Bowes museum which I decided to take a different route and using my trusted TomTom got there before the rest of the gang

4

From Bowes we went to Middleton in Teesdale, which was full of bikes, most of them on the charity run out. Here we met with Marilyn

I’m on the right of the piccy !

The next stop was St johns Chapel, I had decided to stay behind and grab a quick sarnie out of will’s magical lunch/back box.  Using my trusted TomTom I set off to catch up with the rest of the gang. It soon became apparent after opening and closing 4 gates that I had taken the wrong route over the moors

6

finally I caught up with them at St Johns Chapel and rode ahead to get some moving pics

Our last stop took us up to café in the middle of nowhere just outside of Stanhope, it’s a good job Keith knows all the local places or we would still be looking for it now !

That was our last call for the day and we headed back to Durham Police HQ to find that we had missed the raffle ( I think we missed it last year too) because we were back to late

It was a fantastic day out and the weather stayed bright for most of the day.  I think we did just over a 100 miles that day.  Im looking forward to next years

Cheers
